Accelerated Resolution Therapy
ART is a procedural technique used by trained professionals to detach negative emotions from the memory of a traumatic event. It has also been found helpful in areas like depression, anxiety, trauma, phobias, and more.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy is a peer reviewed, evidence-based treatment. ART utilizes rapid eye movements, similar to the way our brains use eye movements while we’re sleeping. Unlike REM sleep, you are able to chose what you’d like to process and how you would like to process it, because you are fully awake and in control during the ART session.
ART differs from EMDR in that it is much more procedural. A trained therapist will walk you through each step. ART also targets certain sensations and memories leaving the client less flooded with emotions that leave them feeling raw. There is no homework and each session is considered it’s own intervention. It doesn’t erase memory. It detaches negative emotions from events.

ART sessions are are offered by Sarah. They will be booked in 2 hour blocks, to ensure enough time to to leave you feeling light and a sense of relief. The first hour can be covered by insurance, any extra time over the first 60 minutes will be prorated based on the $160 private pay fee. For example, a 75 minute session would cost $40 out of pocket.
